3 Keys to Success in Business and Life

Some say the economy is sour, bad, declining. I go to restaurants and see the opposite. I see packed booths, bars that are overflowing with people, fun, and joy. What do you see? I choose to see opportunity rather than doom and gloom.

If you are a builder of dreams, of businesses, you must live in a different world than those who face dread and end up in their grave dead from stress. You must operate in a world of faith, persistence, and massive amounts of patience. In the face of a head wind, you must do it anyway. That is the quest of a serious business person, whether online of in the brick and mortar world. Are you operating with these three key components to success?

1. Faith
2. Persistence
3. Patience

Bob Proctor in his Six Minutes to Success series talk to faith. He says, “Faith is the ability to see the invisible, to believe in the incredible, and to receive the impossible.” Faith is not hoping without action. You must believe in your ability, make a plan, and go forward with action.

Even after you believe in the incredible, you must persist with your plan and actions. Those that succeed did not just happen into success in life or business simply by wishing. Luck did not shine on successful business people just because. No. You need to know that luck happens when you put yourself in the right spot to receive your luck.

Now, I have to be real. Sometimes… no many times, you will have faith in your ability, you will be able to see it in your mind, organize the details, and put it all down on paper. You will persist and begin down the road toward a successful business and find that it isn’t working. What do you do? Do you quit?

I heard something interesting a while back. In the wonderful book Acres of Diamonds it was said that a man had gone out in a field to find diamonds and missed it by only three feet. He gave up and drifted off, dejected and filled with depression. The next man came to the farm and shift his plan by three feet and found the diamonds the first man gave up on. This became one of the biggest diamond finds in the world. How much patience will you have?

Be committed to moving from what you see through faith, into the persistence of deploying your plan and actions, and then keep moving with the patience that you know it is to be for you and your business.

Automatic Income Appears Later

When you think about earning a passive income do you picture long naps on the couch while your hit counter spins and smokes? If that’s your impression of earning passively, you will wake up a “Rip Van Winkle” and find yourself as broke as when you went to sleep.

Earning an income passively online takes work. You can not just set it to autopilot and walk away. The upfront time spent is necessary. Consider it an investment for your future success in the passive income field.

Most of us toiling with earning passively also earn actively at a 9 to 5 job. It’s alright to admit that you work. Replacing a sixty or seventy thousand dollar job overnight with an online passive income is probably not reality. Face it, you’ve gotta work to pay the bill. That doesn’t mean, however, that you can not begin earning passively to support things you want or even as some supplement to your future retirement funds. If you work hard and smart you can do it.

So, if you are truly committed to doing this thing called passive income, be smart about it. I am going to suggest a few things that will help you get off the couch and work hard upfront so you can collect automatically later.

1. I used to be in sales and their were prime hours for prospecting. If I missed those hours I miss my opportunity. Find time to work your business and then schedule it and honor the time you have scheduled.

2. You can not expect to break the bank in one week, thirty days, or maybe even an entire year. This business takes time. Write out a commitment to the process and post it on a wall near your computer as a reminder.

3. Find a coach or mentor who can help you through the rough spots or even talk you through the right thought pattern. These people are worth their weight in gold.

These are only three simple things you can do. Keep in mind this is truly not a business for couch potatoes. You can earn automatically after you invest time and effort building your passive income business.

Good luck to you and remember to bookmark this post and come back often for key articles and resources.

Video – Pat Flynn Discusses Building Blog Traffic

I just watched this awesome three minute video from Pat Flynn on how to supercharge your blog traffic. You would be wise to take a few minutes to view Pat’s video.

This helped me think about the benefits of building my blog traffic faster. Think aboutĀ building a plan to increase your blogs traffic, thus helping you build your business or passive income stream.

1. Decide to be a guest blogger – Seek out blogs of interest and write the blog owner about authoring a guest post. If you are a network marketer or MLM builder, find blogs that relate and inquire about posting a guest post.

2. Use your social network platform – Twitter and Facebook are my two social network platforms of choice. Twitter has helped me boost traffic and “retweets.” For me, Twitter seem to work better than Facebook.

In a passive income earning world, the investment of time and effort upfront upfront will pay dividends down the road. The dividends that are paid come back to you in the form of passive income. Be smart and invest the time generating traffic so you can reap the reward later.
