3 Keys to Success in Business and Life

Some say the economy is sour, bad, declining. I go to restaurants and see the opposite. I see packed booths, bars that are overflowing with people, fun, and joy. What do you see? I choose to see opportunity rather than doom and gloom.

If you are a builder of dreams, of businesses, you must live in a different world than those who face dread and end up in their grave dead from stress. You must operate in a world of faith, persistence, and massive amounts of patience. In the face of a head wind, you must do it anyway. That is the quest of a serious business person, whether online of in the brick and mortar world. Are you operating with these three key components to success?

1. Faith
2. Persistence
3. Patience

Bob Proctor in his Six Minutes to Success series talk to faith. He says, “Faith is the ability to see the invisible, to believe in the incredible, and to receive the impossible.” Faith is not hoping without action. You must believe in your ability, make a plan, and go forward with action.

Even after you believe in the incredible, you must persist with your plan and actions. Those that succeed did not just happen into success in life or business simply by wishing. Luck did not shine on successful business people just because. No. You need to know that luck happens when you put yourself in the right spot to receive your luck.

Now, I have to be real. Sometimes… no many times, you will have faith in your ability, you will be able to see it in your mind, organize the details, and put it all down on paper. You will persist and begin down the road toward a successful business and find that it isn’t working. What do you do? Do you quit?

I heard something interesting a while back. In the wonderful book Acres of Diamonds it was said that a man had gone out in a field to find diamonds and missed it by only three feet. He gave up and drifted off, dejected and filled with depression. The next man came to the farm and shift his plan by three feet and found the diamonds the first man gave up on. This became one of the biggest diamond finds in the world. How much patience will you have?

Be committed to moving from what you see through faith, into the persistence of deploying your plan and actions, and then keep moving with the patience that you know it is to be for you and your business.

Ask Three Simple Question Before you Start Anything

I believe Zig Ziglar is a master at self-improvement. In his hay-day he was one dynamic public speaker who always had thought provoking statements about life that seemed to cut right into the core of a persons soul. Zig wrote in See You at the Top, “I believe you can get everything in life you want if help enough other people get what they want.” When Zig Ziglar wrote those words originally back in 1974 they were relevant. Today those words are more relevant than ever.

My intention is to give to you stories, articles, tools & tip, network marketing ideas (programs), Internet marketing tools, resources and knowledge to go do, be, and have what you desire. I intend to provide quality information. If you like what you read and I have given you something of value, you will come back for more. Let me say “Thank You” in advance.

My opening question to you is this, “What is your purpose for being here at Passvie Income Smarts?” Most will state the obvious and chant out without thought, “Well silly, I’m here to figure out how to make money online.” Sounds obvious, right? Well, it’s not quiet that simple.  Let me begin to help you get everything you desire in life by taking a step backwards so you can go forward faster and with more laser focus.

As a leader of change it is important that I help others understand how to make change and do it in a way that is successful. The method I happened upon was pure gold. The secret was helping a team find their personal “Why” for change. This gave the team clear motive for change. This motive was key to sticktuitiveness and ultimate success.

Let me make the bold assumption that you are here because of an interest in building on online business of some kind. Do you just pick up an affiliate program and start marketing? Maybe you write an e-book, throw up a squeeze page and cross your fingers for the dollars to start rolling in. I attest to you that there is a pre-step to these or other activity. And in the words of Arnold Palmer in an old Fram Oil Filter commercial, “You can pay me now, or you can pay me later.”

The three simple keys to earning passive income and finding success are these:

What –   What do you want to create? Can you define your what in a clear sentence or two. Be very clear about your intention.

Why -     Why do you want to create X? This is the key, the motive for beginning your venture, eBook, project, network-marketing program, or passive income business. Think about your “Why” as you WIIFM (What’s in it for me). Get personal and get real.

How -     How will you accomplish your what based upon your why. In working with teams, I ask them to give me ten items as their “How.” This becomes the nucleolus for a solid plan.

In my first article the intention was to give you a solid reason for doing what you have on your mind to do and to build a plan to support that intention. By asking yourself these three questions you will begin to get clarity around your reason for building an online business. Maybe after the pre-work you find that the goal is too big or maybe not right for your real motive for seeking a passive income.  Take your time and engage in these questions.

First, find an hour of free time where you can begin to do some mind searching. Find a spot where others will not interrupt you. Bring a journal or notebook to capture your what, why, and how.

On the top of the paper write, “What do I want to do?”

Your “What” may be an online business, a network marketing opportunity, or some other passion or hobby you intend to create into a business. Clearly define in one or two sentences what you want to do? You can visit my about page to see how I did it for this blog.

In the middle of the paper write, “Why do I want to do X?”

This is the hook for the entire reason behind do anything. I you don’t have a strong “Why” your motive will be weak. You want as strong motive so take your time finding the deep reason why you want to be, do, or have something.

On the next page write, “How will accomplish X?”

This is where the rubber meets the road. These are goals. From your goals you can create a strategy that includes tactics to accomplish your “What.” This begins the process of P.D.C.A. (Plan, Do, Check, Adjust). What will propel you along is a clear motivating “Why.”

If you are truly serious about creating a passive income business these three questions will get the creative juices flowing. At the end of this process you will be better suited to go out and build your business, or adjust to something that is more passionate for you.
